Agartala, 14th July 2025: The Sepahijala district-level Dharti Aba Janbhagidari Abhiyan was held at the Bukhurui Community Hall in Jampuijala today with a strong emphasis on inclusive governance and grassroots outreach. State Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated the event, highlighting the government’s commitment to ensuring that welfare benefits reach every citizen, irrespective of caste, religion or background.
“The Central government is working with a vision to make India the best in the world. In line with that, the state government is implementing various schemes to build Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura,” said Minister Chowdhury. He further urged all sections of society to actively cooperate in the implementation of development schemes and called for greater awareness to curb drug addiction and prevent child marriage among youth.
During the event, the Minister unveiled a success booklet documenting the outcomes of the month-long Dharti Aba Janbhagidari campaign in the district. Several government offices and institutions — including Tripura Gramin Bank (Jampuijala branch), Tripura Cooperative Bank (Jampuijala branch), Jampuijala Primary Health Centre, and the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department — were felicitated for their effective execution of the campaign.
A range of welfare benefits were distributed on the occasion. The Fisheries Department handed out fishing nets and ice boxes to two fish farmers and also disbursed cheques of Rs 6,000 each under the MSY scheme. The Social Welfare Department provided nutrition kits to five beneficiaries and PMMVY certificates to two women. The Health Department conducted check-ups for 56 people, distributed free medicines, and registered 17 individuals for Ayushman Bharat cards.
The Labor department issued multiple forms for schemes like e-Shram, PM-SYM, and construction worker benefits. The Sub-divisional Administration also received applications for income, ST, and PRTC certificates.
The event was attended by MLAs Manab Debbarma and Biswajit Kalai, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Supriya Das Datta, Saha-Sabhadipati Pintu Aich, District Magistrate Dr Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Jampuijala BAC Chairman Birendra Kishore Debbarma and SDM Chiranjib Anan among others. Eleven exhibition stalls by various departments were also set up, showcasing the government’s initiatives and services.
