Day-long ‘Bartalap’ programme to highlight social welfare initiatives in Agartala

Agartala, 28th January 2026:   To raise public awareness about major social welfare initiatives, a day-long programme titled ‘Bartalap’ will be held at the Agartala Press Club conference hall today starting at 11 am. The event is being organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

The discussions will center around several important themes, including “Viksit Bharat –Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin),” “Empowerment of Women and Children,” “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA),” and “150 Years of Vande Mataram.”

Distinguished guests and speakers at the programme include Brigadier Nishant Chandel, DIG of Assam Rifles’ 21 Sector Headquarters; Asit Kumar Das, Additional District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura; Achintya Kilickdar, Deputy Commissioner of the State’s Social Welfare and Social Education Department; Chameli Saha, Member of the Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights; Debashish Lodh, Assistant Director of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department; and Pranab Sarkar, President of Agartala Press Club, among others.

The PIB Agartala office has extended an open invitation to the public to attend and participate in the enriching discussions. Organizers expressed hope that the programme will serve as a milestone in spreading awareness about the Government of India’s key social and cultural initiatives.
