Agartala, 2nd July 2025: A shocking incident took place this afternoon in Bishramganj’s Raja Chowhumuni area, where a local electronics shop owner was the target of a life-threatening attack.
It is reported that, a resident and businessman Amit Debbarma was attacked with a sharp weapon by a youth named Thanda Ram Debbarma, who hails from the same locality—Bishramganj Adivasi Colony. The assailant reportedly stormed into Amit’s shop, causing destruction to property and assaulting him with a machete-like weapon.
Despite the gravity of the attack, Amit narrowly survived and was able to seek medical treatment at the Bishramganj Primary Health Centre. He has since lodged a formal complaint at the Bishramganj Police Station, demanding justice and legal action against the attacker.
