Agartala July 29: 132nd death anniversary of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was celebrated with due dignity. A program was organized in front of Ujjayanta Palace in the capital city under the initiative of the Vidyasagar Bi-Centenary Celebration Committee.
Vidyasagar Bi-Centenary Celebration Committee Secretary Dr. Alak Satpati and others were present. All those present on this day paid their respects by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. Vidyasagar Bi-Centenary Celebration Committee Secretary Dr. Alak Satpati said that Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was the architect of modern education. He played a leading role in the promotion of women’s education. He presented the biography of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.
