Agartala, 10th April:  Centering around the Teacher recruitment process, there was a heated agitation created in the Umakanta School (Bengali Medium) on Monday. Surprisingly, the Headmaster of the school avoided this agitation in a very general way. The Govt of Tripura had developed 100 Schools of the state under the Vidyajyoti Project.

Already, the teaching procedure has been in many schools under the rules and regulations published by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). For this purpose, the schools needed the required teachers for Dance, Art, Music, Yoga , also other categories for which the recruitment process for teachers for a temporary period of time is going on all over the state as the Schools were putting up advertisements in the Newspaper. Similarly as per the scenario, on Monday the recruitment process was going on in the Umakanta School (Bengali Medium).

In the advertisement that was published by this school, it was clearly mentioned that the registration process will begin from 11 AM.  But there was nowhere mentioned that the last time for registration was 12 PM. But to everyone’s surprise it was seen that the applicants who came for the interview after 12 PM, the school administration did not even give them a chance to sit for the interview.

This led to a whole chaos in the school premises. As per the applicants, many of them have travelled thousands of kilometres to come for the interview.  However, there was no specific mention of the deadline. This school is exceptional in making such one-sided decisions. The school authorities have imposed such a decision unfairly. Due to which many could not face the interview. The statement of the school authorities has been asked to come and see the notice board. If they avoid this matter, they will not attend school because of it.
