Dengue Situation Brought Under Control in Tilthoi of North District

Agartala, 24th November 2025 : The dengue situation in Tilthoi under North district has been brought under control through a series of prompt and coordinated measures. According to the Health and Family Welfare Department, multiple preventive and control initiatives have already been implemented.

An emergency meeting was held between the district surveillance/monitoring team and the acting Medical Officer of Tilthoi PHC to review the situation. The district surveillance team has been actively engaging with residents in all affected areas to promote IPC (Infection Prevention and Control) practices at the community level.

The acting Medical Officer of Tilthoi PHC has conducted extensive cleanliness drives and undertaken activities aimed at reducing mosquito breeding sources. Recently, a Panchayat-level meeting was also organized where PRI representatives were urged to provide active support in dengue prevention efforts.

BTI larvicide spraying is ongoing in all affected areas under Tilthoi PHC, alongside widespread miking to raise public awareness. The RBSK (Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram) units have been assigned to carry out school-level awareness activities in their respective blocks.

Additionally, the affected localities are observing a weekly “Dry Day” to eliminate stagnant water sources and prevent mosquito breeding.The Health and Family Welfare Department confirmed these developments in an official statement.
