Agartala Dec 20: After a long battle, police harassment and prolonged protest, Tuesday Deputy chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma assured to review the matter of recruitment of the qualified STGT youths.
Tuesday, the job aspirants at first met the education minister Ratan Lal Nath at his residence but he sent them back saying that he has not received aby approval from the finance department about recruitment.
Following which the youths rushed to meet the deputy chief minister Jishnu Dev Varma who also holds the portfolio of state finance minister.The Dy CM patiently listened to the job aspirants to take note of the matter.
The job aspirants on the other hand requested the deputy chief minister to save them and recruit them all together before the 2023 assembly polls.Dy CM assured the aspirants that their request will be reviewed and that he will sit with the state education minister and chief minister to talk about the recruitment.
However, the job aspirants raised question over the state government’s tall claim of “Double-engine govt. benefits” as education minister Ratan Lal Nath showed the excuse of fund crisis.
The aspiring teachers said, “There is huge number of vacancies, no teachers is state government schools to impart education to the student of Classes 9 and 10. But the state government is not recruiting teachers”.
