Agartala: December 15. Bharatiya Janata Party 19 Charilam Mandal Yuva Morcha has welcomed 150 new voters of North Brajapur Vidyalaya Brajpur sector. Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma who is also MLA of Charilam Assembly Constituency, was present at this felicitation ceremony in Brajapur Vidyalaya.
Besides, North Brajapur Gram Panchayat pradhan Moni Debnath, Sakthi Kendra in-charge Prasenjit Debnath and other functionaries of Yuva Morcha were present. The 150 new voters were welcomed by Deputy Chief Minister by wearing a batch of national flag and rose. Talking to the new electorate, Deputy Chief Minister said, “Till now you have been thinking about textbooks, sports, dance, music, etc., now you have an important responsibility in the formation of the state, you have to think about what is good and what is bad for you”.
He said between 18 and 23 years of age this will lead your life in which direction now this is your major responsibility.
“You as new voter and as a citizen of India will cast your vote for the betterment of the state to lead your life towards light. If anyone thinks a voter is an EVM machine it is wrong. New voters, you should think about it. I said earlier that you used to play sports, study, dance, and sing. Now your major responsibility has come”, he said.
