DGP Anurag Dhankar reviews law and order in Dhalai district, holds high-level meeting

Agartala, 26th May 2025:   Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Dhankar visited Dhalai district today as part of his ongoing state-wide inspection of law and order conditions. In the evening, he reached the office of the Dhalai District Superintendent of Police in Jaharnagar, where he chaired a high-level meeting with senior police officials.

Present at the meeting were DIG (Northern Range) Rati Ranjan Debnath, Dhalai District SP Mihir Lal Das, sub-divisional police officers, officers-in-charge (OCs) of various police stations and other senior personnel from the district police administration. The discussion focused on strengthening police force and reviewing the district’s crime control measures.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, DGP Dhankar said, “I have been touring various districts of the state over the past few days to assess the law and order situation. Compared to last year, the situation has seen considerable improvement.”

He emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and security. “The police administration is committed to working hand-in-hand with the public to curb crime and ensure a safer environment across the state,” he added.
