Agartala: August 08, 2022: Union minister of state for Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhoumik on Monday chaired a review meeting as the chairperson of Rogi Kalyan Samiti of the GBP Hospital with the higher officials of the Health department and senior doctors at the conference hall of Agartala Government Medical College here.
Speaking to media persons here, Bhoumik said “The hospital services will be digitized soon and patients’ database will also be prepared. In a bid to reduce the usage of paper works, each and every patient’s medical history will remain uploaded in the database. Patients would not require to bring the diagnostic reports and previous prescriptions all the time”.
“All the states were asked by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to develop e-hospital facilities. In Tripura, National Health Mission has been assigned this task. But in GBP Hospital, Rogi Kalyan Samiti is initiating the measures in an advanced and modernized form. This e-facility in the state’s top referral hospital will provide a specific ID to each patient and the hospital’s database will store the past medical records. With an aim to ease the job of doctors and patients, this facility is going to be introduced,” she added.
On the other hand, RKS chairman Bhoumik said that the Super Speciality Block of the GBP Hospital will be opened soon. She claimed “Doctors in adequate number is available here. However, the super speciality block will be opened once all required infrastructure is set. Patients will enjoy advanced treatment facilities.”Being asked about Generic Medicine counter, Bhoumik said “With support of Markfed, the outlet would be opened soon.”
