Agartala, 7th March 2026:   Residents of Panchmanagar village in the Mylong ADC area of Kailashahar staged a protest after a local man went missing and allegedly received little response from the police. The protesters expressed their anger by blocking a national highway, accusing the police of negligence in handling the case.

According to reports, Ram Mohan Debbarma, a resident of Panchmanagar village under Mylong ADC Village, went to visit his daughter’s house in the Ganganagar area on the afternoon of March 3. Since then, he has been missing. Despite extensive searches by family members in various places, no trace of him has been found so far.

The family later filed a written complaint at Fatikroy Police Station. However, they allege that the police did not take adequate steps after the complaint was lodged. The family also claimed that they were treated discourteously by police personnel when they visited the police station to follow up on the matter.

The incident has sparked widespread anger across the Mylong ADC Village area. Members of the local tribal community have raised strong objections to the alleged inaction of the police. They have demanded that the missing man be found as soon as possible and warned of continued national highway blockades if prompt action is not taken.

Tension continues to prevail in the area as residents press authorities for immediate steps to trace Ram Mohan Debbarma.
