Agartala, June 22, 2023: A driver sustained injuries when a vehicle carrying stones overturned in Kalyanpur on Thursday afternoon on the road adjacent to Loknath Ashram. The vehicle, identified by the registration number TR05B-1729, was en route from Churaibari to Kalyanpur with its cargo of stones.
While traversing the road behind Loknath Ashram in Kalyanpur on the Khowai-Teliamura road, the car flipped over and landed in a paddy field, causing the stones it carried to scatter on the ground. The driver, Jamal Uddin, hailing from Dharmanagar, suffered injuries in the mishap.
Promptly after the accident, rescuers reached the scene and swiftly transported the injured driver to Kalyanpur Hospital. Jamal Uddin sustained an injury to his ear.
An eyewitness, who happened to be present nearby, recounted that the car suddenly overturned and veered into the paddy field after entering the road.
