Agartala, 3rd November 2025: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) celebrated its 46th Foundation Day today with a commemorative event held at the Chhatra-Yuva Bhavan near Melarmath here. The programme began with the hoisting of the organisation’s flag, followed by floral tributes at the martyr’s memorial, where leaders paid homage to those who laid down their lives in the course of struggle.
DYFI State President Palash Bhowmik and State Secretary Nabarun Dey were among the key leaders present, along with several other office-bearers, members, and supporters. Addressing the gathering, Bhowmik reflected on the organisation’s legacy of resistance and its pivotal role in championing the rights of the youth.
“Since its inception, DYFI has been at the forefront of the fight for education, employment, and social justice. Our journey is one of relentless struggle for the legitimate demands of the youth,” he said, urging young people to unite under the DYFI banner and participate in upcoming initiatives.
Leaders also announced that a series of programmes will be organised across various parts of the state in the coming days to mark the Foundation Day and further engage with the youth on pressing socio-political issues.
