East Agartala Police Station arrests three youths involved in burglary at Math Chowmuhani

Agartala, 24th April 2024  :   The East Agartala police station apprehended three notorious thieves and recovered a substantial amount of stolen money. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sanjit Sen of East Agartala police station confirmed the successful operation, stating that the interrogation of the captured individuals could unveil crucial information regarding their criminal network.

According to OC Sanjit Sen of East Agartala police station, the incident took place with a burglary at the residence of Advocate Biplab Bhattacharya in the Math Chowmuhani area. The thieves managed to escape with a considerable sum of money, prompting Bhattacharya to file a report at the local police station. Subsequently, law enforcement launched a thorough investigation, utilizing CCTV footage to track down the perpetrators.

The diligent efforts of the police culminated in the recovery of the stolen money and the arrest of three individuals identified as Binoy Saha, Amit Roy, and Rahul Das. Notably, these apprehended suspects have prior records of involvement in various theft cases. OC Sanjit Sen emphasized that the interrogation of the detainees could lead to the identification of additional members within their criminal syndicate.

The successful apprehension of these thieves represents a significant victory for law enforcement in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety and security of the community.
