Agartala: July 29. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath today urged everyone to come forward for donating blood voluntarily as there is no alternative for blood. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated blood donation camp organized at Mohanpur Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office.
After inaugurating the programme he said, “Donating blood is a noble deed. Earlier different social organizations, political organizations and clubs used to organize blood donation camps. Now blood donation camps are being organized with the initiative of different departments of the state government”. He lauded West Tripura District Administration. Other dignitaries present were MLA Krishnadhan Das and West Tripura DM Debapriya Bardhan. Welcome speech was delivered by SDM Anirudh Roy.
The program was presided over by Chairperson Mohanpur Municipal Council Anita Debnath. Total 36 persons have donated blood in the camp voluntarily. The blood donation camp was organized with the initiative of Mohanpur SDM, Mohanpur Municipal Council and different government departments of the sub division.
