Agartala, 1st December 2025: If we need a corruption-free society, then quality education is essential. The fate of a country is shaped in the classrooms of educational institutions.
This was said by Power, Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare Minister Ratan Lal Nath today while addressing the freshers’ welcome program at Mohanpur Swami Vivekananda College.
The Minister said that the culture of schools and colleges is different.
“In school, the discipline is very strict, while in college there is a little bit of freedom. At this time, coming into a new place, the professors of colleges have to take important steps. Earlier, there were no such facilities, but now there are a lot of facilities in everything. We want to build Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat and Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura, and for this, radical changes and development in education are essential, which the state and central government are doing through the new education policy. There is corruption in society and if we need a corruption-free society, then quality education is essential,” said the Minister.
The Minister said that in the Bihar election held recently, people did not want jungle raj, corruption, etc.
“The fate of a country is shaped in the classroom of any educational institution. Each one is great in his or her own place. Now is the time of competition. Everyone has to be part of it, or else nothing will happen. No one can give you a job without quality education. Everyone has merit, but professors and teachers will nurture it. In this college, last year 42% passed under the NEP system, while this time 62% passed. I love students, I like students, and I am also a student. PM Modi said everyone has to learn about Artificial Intelligence—even farmers too,” he added.
