Agartala, 21st March 2026:   The holy festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most significant celebrations for Muslims worldwide, was observed today with joy and devotion. In Agartala, worshippers gathered at the historic Gedu Mia Mosque to offer the special Eid prayers, joining together in a spirit of unity and festivity. People of all ages participated in the congregation, marking the day with reverence and happiness.

Eid-ul-Fitr follows the month-long fasting of Ramadan, a period dedicated to self-restraint, sacrifice, charity, and spiritual purification. The sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal heralds the arrival of Eid, symbolizing blessings, forgiveness, and salvation. For the faithful, the day carries profound spiritual significance, serving as a reminder to uphold the values of compassion, generosity, and equality fostered during Ramadan.

After weeks of fasting, Eid brings a message of renewal and joy to every Muslim household. On the occasion, the Imam of Gedu Mia Mosque extended heartfelt greetings to people across the state and highlighted the deeper meaning of Eid-ul-Fitr—emphasizing harmony, humanity, and the continuation of the virtues nurtured during Ramadan.
