According to police sources, Renubala Kuri reportedly set fire to some abandoned items inside her residence late Friday night. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, the flames engulfed her, leading to her untimely death. At the time of the incident, only her ailing husband Makhan Kuri was present in the house, while other family members were away.

“A distress call was received late at night, and our team immediately reached the location. The body was taken to Bykhora Primary Health Center for post-mortem examination, and after completing formal procedures, it was handed over to the family on Saturday,” said a senior officer from Baikhora police station.

Neighbors expressed their sorrow over the tragic loss. “It’s heartbreaking. She was a kind and loving woman,” said a local resident, adding that her absence has created an emotional void in the locality.
