Agartala, August 05, 2022: Education minister Ratanlal Nath inaugurated the newly constructed Girls’ Hostel building of Taidubari HS School at Taidu in Amarpur on Friday. At the inaugural ceremony MLAs Sindhu Kumar Jamatia and Ranjit Das, Gomati district’s ADM Pankaj Chakraborty, Amarpur SDM Asit Kumar Das, DEO Laxman Chandra Das and others were present. MDC Shibsenliang Kaipeng presided over the opening ceremony.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Nath said “The government has given priority to the expansion of quality education in the state. For this reason, the government has taken various steps. The goal of the government is the overall development of education.”
Education minister also said “NCERT courses have already been introduced from class I to class XII for the development of quality education in the state. Besides, 135 vocational education programs and Super 30 schemes have been launched in the state. Vidyajyoti scheme has been launched in 100 schools of the state. ‘Vidyalaya Chalo Abhiyan’ has been launched to bring back students who have dropped out of school under the new education policy.”
Notably, Rs 2 crore 40 lakh have been spent on the construction of this Girls’ Hostel building. In the inauguration ceremony, 15 ceiling fans and 3 computers were given to Taidubari Class XII School, 15 ceiling fans to Tetuibari High School, 3 computers each at Ampi English Medium School and Ampi Class XII School in the constituency from the MLA development project of MLA Sindhukumar Jamatia.
