Agartala, 22nd February 2024 :  Five women beneficiaries from the cluster level federation of five blocks in West Tripura district have received mobile vehicles equipped with common service centers. The handover ceremony took place at the West Tripura District Administration Office premises, organized in collaboration with the West Tripura District Administration under the initiative of the Information Technology Directorate.

During the event, Haridulal Acharya, the Acting Sabhadipati of West Tripura Zilla Parishad, presented the keys of the mobile vehicles to the five women beneficiaries. The recipients are Pinki Das from Dukli block, Alpana Debnath from Jirania block, Surjalakshmi Sinha Debbarma from Mohanpur block, Kalpana Sarkar from Bamutia block, and Kakli Dey from Old Agartala block. West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar, Assistant Collector MS Charu, and Senior Deputy Magistrate Niharranjan Das were also present.

Addressing the gathering, Acting Sabhadipati Haridulal Acharya mentioned that the previous year, four Janajati women from the district were provided with mobile vehicles from the Common Service Center. This year, five members of the Cluster Level Federation (CLF) in the district have received these vehicles. He commended the state government’s initiative, emphasizing that these vehicles would facilitate the delivery of various administrative services directly to every household in the village, reducing the need for villagers to travel far for essential documents.

West District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar explained that the Common Service Centre mobile van distributed today is aimed at covering nine blocks, enabling people to address Aadhar or other issues promptly. He emphasized the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment, highlighting that the initiative is carried out through women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Dr. Vishal Kumar expressed satisfaction in observing women not only driving the vehicles but also actively working for this cause, underscoring the government’s dedication to empowering women.
