Ensuring clean water and efficient irrigation is essential: MP Kriti at Sabroom DISHA meeting

Agartala, 5th May 2025:  Lok Sabha MP Kriti Singh Debbarman chaired a crucial DISHA meeting today at the Sabroom Nagar Panchayat conference hall in presence of administrative officials and public representatives. The discussion primarily focused on crucial development issues, including drinking water supply, irrigation management, waste processing, sanitation improvements and tourism expansion.

MP Debbarman emphasized the significance of these discussions for public welfare. “Ensuring clean drinking water and efficient irrigation systems is essential for the well-being of the community,” he stated, urging officials to take proactive steps toward addressing these concerns.

Debbarman was accompanied by Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Dipak Datta, DM Md Sajjad P, MLA Mailafru Mog, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shibajyoti Datta as well as representatives from various blocks and departments, including Sabroom Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ramapodar Dey and officials from BSF.

During the session, officials provided detailed updates on ongoing projects, while MP Kriti Singh Debbarma stressed the importance of effective waste management strategies. “Environmental protection must be prioritized, and sustainable solutions should be implemented for proper waste processing,” he said.

As the meeting concluded at 1:50 pm, the MP addressed the media, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to working closely with public representatives. “Coordination between government bodies is key to the successful execution of development initiatives,” he remarked.

The discussions are expected to accelerate action on the issues highlighted, with administrative circles placing significant importance on this meeting for future policy decisions.
