Agartala, 1st September : Former State BJP president Ranajoy Deb on Thursday expressed his disappointment over the role of the state government for not taking any steps to maintain the cleanliness of the hospitals across the state including the Dharmanagar district hospital.
Sharing some disturbing images of the toilets, and urinals of Dharmanagar district hospital on Facebook, Ranajoy Deb wrote, “This is the condition of North Tripura District Hospital at Dharmanagar. Pictures were taken today. Immediate action must be taken against the hospital concerned authority. We are told health service in Tripura improved, hospitals that can’t provide Hygiene, how can they claim health service improved?”.
He further said that if the hospitals are not clean, then patients will have to suffer.“When patients will come with various illness, they will suffer more and because of such condition of the toilets and urinals. Not only this but also the wards are also in a pathetic condition. I have inspected physically and I am surprised”, he said.
Expressing his grievances over the role of state government, the senior leaders said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared ‘Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan’ which should be started from hospitals.
