Agartala, 16th January 2024 :   In a big blow to opposition political parties in the state ahead of Lok Sabha election,  over 400 voters have joined BJP leaving CPIM, Congress and TIPRA Motha in Charilam Assembly Constituency in presence of Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma.

“I am thrilled to witness the overwhelming support pouring in as more individuals align themselves with the BJP today. I urge my Muslim brothers and sisters to actively engage with the BJP for genuine development. While past Prime Ministers once championed the slogan “Garibi Hatao” (Remove Poverty), their promises often fell short, leaving the real poor neglected. In contrast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is translating promises into concrete progress. His commitment extends development guarantees to every rural hamlet through dedicated initiatives.

Dev Varma emphasized that in the Charilam Assembly Constituency, the distribution of government-provided houses under the PM-Awas Yojana was unbiased, irrespective of color, religion, or party affiliation.

“Beneficiaries of the PM-Awas Yojana in Charilam include individuals from diverse religious backgrounds – Buddhist, Muslim, Christian, and Hindu. Our Assembly proudly welcomes representatives from all religions, fostering inclusivity that has propelled the BJP to become the largest party in the world,” he added.”
