Agartala, 22nd May 2024 : The Department of English, Government Degree College Kamalpur organized an exhibition in the college campus on Wednesday with the theme “Halcyon: Embracing the serenity in Literature”. The objective of the exhibition was to enhance learning and understanding of the students about their course content, prescribed by the affiliated body, Tripura University. It also aims to encourage the students in their personality development as well as public speaking.
The program started with the introduction of the theme by the Head of the Department, Ms Elemi Debbarma. She highlighted on the objectives of the theme and how the theme can be related in understanding Literature. Dr Astamika Sinha, HoD, Department of History also emphasized on its relation with History. Dr Subhajit Dinda, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry inaugurated the exhibition and congratulated the students for their great endeavour and hardwork in giving a shape to the exhibition.
The students presented their topics through various visual pictures, writings as well as each group leader gave a short analysis of their content. They also addressed the queries of the teachers with great enthusiasm. All the topics were chosen from their prescribed syllabus and includes literary works like Ramayana, The Pot of Gold, Macbeth, Dr Faustus, Abhijnansakuntalam etc. The exhibition unveiled the creative and potentiality of the students and was a great success.
