Agartala, 7th  February 2026 :   Bishramganj police have recovered a high-end Java motorcycle abandoned near the Warang Bari area adjacent to a brick kiln. The motorcycle bearing registration number AS11Z–1667, was traced to its owner Abdul Rahim Bor Bhuiya, a resident of Silchar in Assam.

Police sources said they rushed to the spot after receiving information about a bike lying abandoned in the locality. Verification of the registration revealed that the motorcycle belonged to Bhuiya, who later informed police that it had been stolen from his residence nearly eight months ago.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the thieves may have run out of fuel while moving the vehicle on Friday night, forcing them to abandon it before fleeing. The recovered bike has been brought to Bishramganj police station.

Officials confirmed that an investigation is underway to identify and arrest those involved. The motorcycle will be handed over to its rightful owner after completion of legal formalities.
