Agartala, 19th October 2025: The Tripura Fair Price Shop Directors’ AMC Committee today expressed gratitude to the state government and the Food Department for distributing free ration items sugar, semolina and flour to consumers ahead of Durga Puja.
Speaking to media personnel at the committee’s office here, President Uttam Kumar Ghosh, along with other members, lauded the initiative, noting that this marks the third consecutive year of such festive support. They urged the government to continue the scheme in the coming years to benefit more families during major festivals.
According to the committee, approximately 85% of eligible beneficiaries have already availed the free ration. They also appealed to remaining consumers to collect their allotted items by October 30.
