Family in dire straits appeals for aid to treat disabled daughter

Date:

Agartala, 6th May 2026:  A helpless family from Chikonchhara village has fallen into extreme financial crisis while struggling to provide medical care for their disabled daughter. The parents, Firod Debbarma and Sari Debbarma, have now appealed to the Chief Minister for urgent financial assistance.

Reportedly, their only child, eight-year-old Ayesha Debbarma, has been suffering from severe physical disabilities since birth. She is unable to walk and cannot speak clearly. Over the years, her parents have spent everything they had on her treatment, even selling their house and land to cover medical expenses.

With their resources completely exhausted, continuing Ayesha’s treatment has become nearly impossible. Her parents have expressed deep concern over the situation and urged the state government to extend humanitarian support so that their daughter’s medical care can continue.

The family’s plea has already stirred sympathy among local residents, who are now looking to the administration to take swift action. All eyes remain on whether the authorities will respond promptly to this desperate appeal.
