Agartala, 4th January 2025: A joyous event took place at the Satchand Block premises on Saturday with the goal of doubling farmers’ income. As part of this initiative, 90 power weeders, 124 spray machines, and 4 grass cutters were distributed among farmers in various panchayats of the Satchand Block under the PDF Fund of Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad.
Additionally, under the PMJAY Scheme, a total of Rs 1,125,000 was distributed. Three panchayats in the block area—Thaibong, Nabagram and Bijoynagar—saw 45 families receive checks worth Rs 25,000 each to achieve financial self-sufficiency. The farmers in the area expressed their happiness and gratitude for this support.
The event was graced by the presence of Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Dipak Datta, MLA Mylarfru Mog, Chairman of the Satchand Panchayat Samiti Prabhas Lodh, Block Development Officer Anupam Das and Satchand Agricultural Subdivision Supervisor Manohar Das among others.
