Agartala, May 16, 2023: In a fatal accident, a quinquagenarian died on spot while another three sustained injuries near Palatana Forest Gate at Jamjuri in Udaipur sib-division in the early hours of Tuesday.
The name of the deceased is Manik Roy Noatia (50) of Shamukcherra and the injured persons are Binoy Debbarma (45) of Shamukcherra, Bipin Debbarma (34) of Bagma, driver Abul Hossain (30) of Shamukcherra.
It is reported that a Maruti WagonR vehicle bearing registration number TR03Q-0621 was heading towards Shamukcherra from Chandibari in Amarpur around 3 AM in the wee hours of Tuesday and met with an accident near Palatana Forest gate at Jamjuri area.
The driver and other passengers alleged that a truck rammed the Maruti car on its way from Kakraban to Udaipur. While trying to save the small car, a shawl got hit on the side of the road. Manik Roy Noatia died in this hit.
Meanwhile, after receiving the news of the accident, the Kakraban Fire Department personnel rushed to rescue the injured persons and took them to Gomati District Hospital at Tepania.
On the other hand, the body of the deceased Manik Roy Noatia was shifted to the hospital morgue for post-mortem. Moreover, the Kakraban police station staff rushed to the spot and started investigating the accident.
In another accident, a person sustained injuries during a head-on collision betwee a motorcycle and Mahindra Bolero at an area adjacent to the Kakalia Forest Range of Jolaibari under Santirbazar sub-division on Tuesday.
In this accident, the motorcycle rider sustained grievous injuries after meeting an accident on the national highway. The Jolaibari Fire Service personnel shifted the injured person to Jolaibari Community Healthcare Centre and the doctor on-duty referred the injured person to South Tripura district hospital at Santirbazar. The injured person is currently undergoing treatment at District Hospital’s trauma care centre.
Speaking to media persons told media personnel at the district hospital in Santirbazar, the doctor on-duty said that the injured person was brought from Jolaibari in an ambulance. The doctor said that there is no one with the injured person. He said initially the name of the injured person is Manszai Mog. The doctor said that the family members of the injured person have been informed.
