Fatal mishap leaves one dead and another injured

Agartala, 29th April 2025:  An NGO worker affiliated with the Health department lost his life in a collision involving a bike and a JCB while escorting a youth to the hospital for treatment today. Another individual sustained severe injuries in the accident, which took place near the Kaulikura Gram Panchayat on the National Highway in Kailashahar.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Gyan Chakma, who was traveling on the bike with the injured man. The collision proved fatal for Chakma, who died on the spot. He was well-known in the area for his work with the Health department as part of an NGO initiative.

Health workers have reportedly taken swift action, booking the JCB driver responsible for the collision. The accused has been identified as 23-year-old Prajesh Sinha, has been detained for questioning.
