Agartala: September 12. The state election commission today has informed that the final electoral roll for village committee election would be published on 30th September this year.
In a notification undersigned by State Election Commissioner ML Dey said that the undersigned hereby specifies the following programme for publication of Electoral Rolls of the Village Committee Constituencies in draft and for final publication of the same on disposal of claims and objections, if any, in connection with conduct of next General Election to Village Committee Constituencies.
“Date of draft Publication of Electoral Rolls is September 16, Period of filing of Claims and Objections are from September 16 to 22 while Period of disposal of Claims and Objections is by September 26 and date of final publication of Electoral Rolls in on September 30”, the notification said.
It further said that the Electoral Rolls for the Village Committee Constituencies shall be based on the Electoral Rolls of the State Assembly Constituencies for the time being in force.
“All the Electoral Registration Officers should follow the relevant provisions of the ‘Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Village Committee (Preparation of Electoral Roll) Rules, for draft and final publication of the Electoral Rolls”, it added.
