Finance department gave approval for 41,959 jobs in Tripura: Sushanta Chowdhury

Agartala, December 29, 2022: After forming government in the state in 2018, the Finance department has given approval for 41 thousand 949 jobs till December 16 last, said ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Thursday.

Out of this, a total of 24 thousand 33 jobs have already been provided in various departments including regular, die-in-harness, contractual, outsourcing, and the recruitment process for the rest 18,000 is going on, he added.

In a press conference at Civil Secretariat here on Thursday afternoon, Chowdhury said that out of 41 thousand 949 jobs approved by the Finance Department, 17 thousand 687 are regular posts. Out of this, 8 thousand 812 regular posts have already been filled.

In addition, the recruitment process of about 5000 posts of JRBT, 6000 special executive posts, 3000 TET posts, 1000 police constable posts is going on, he added.

Minister said that the statistics of the Finance Department showed that only 13 thousand 657 people were given jobs in regular positions during the previous government from 2013-2017. But the opposition parties in the state are misleading the people of the state by continuously providing false information about the current state government job offers. The ICA minister urged the opposition political parties not to mislead the people of the state by providing false information about the job offer.
