Finance Minister distributes job offers among 19 youths under various departments

Agartala, 6th January 2024:  The Government’s commitment to delivering various citizen-centric projects and facilities remains a top priority as it aims to foster trust and confidence among the public through development initiatives. In pursuit of overall progress and public welfare in the state, the government has undertaken several steps.

In a ceremony held at secretariat here, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy announced job offers to 19 candidates selected for different posts under the Planning and Coordination Department, the Audit Directorate, and the Taxation Organization through the West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBPSC).

The Finance Minister conveyed that these recruitments align with the government’s vision of establishing good governance in the state. He emphasized the importance the government places on using technology to expedite official work, evident in initiatives like digitizing paperwork and introducing e-office management.

Minister Singha Roy further highlighted that the current state government is earnestly working towards cleanliness and efficiency. He mentioned that the ongoing government projects prioritize the well-being of the people, and therefore, it is crucial for the newly recruited staff to actively contribute to the swift implementation of these initiatives.

Expressing his best wishes, Singha Roy congratulated the successful candidates on their achievement, hoping for their bright future in public service. During the ceremony, Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Planning and Coordination Department, and Apurba Roy, Secretary of the Finance Department, also shared their thoughts on the occasion.

This job offering event is seen as a testament to the government’s commitment to meritocracy and efficiency, reinforcing its dedication to promoting a transparent and technology-driven work environment for the benefit of the citizens.
