Agartala, 12th January 2026: A fire broke out at the Dasharathbari Anganwadi Center under Melaghar, completely destroying the interior of the building in broad daylight.

Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. The blaze reduced various furniture items and important documents inside the center to ashes.
