Agartala, March 13, 2023: Assuming fire explosion from gas cylinder engulfed seven rooms of a house and a parked four-wheeler vehicle at Kalinagar area under Belonia police station on Monday afternoon, a Fire Brigade official said.
Timely arrival of Fire tenders and untiring efforts of local youths doused the fire from taking a bigger form. Hearing the incident, Belonia police station staff arrived at the spot and started an investigation.
However, the second officer of the fire brigade said that the amount of damage would be around Rs 50 to 55 lakh. He also said that around seven rooms of a residential house were burnt to ashes.
The chairman of Belonia Municipal Council Nikhil Chandra Gope also rushed to the spot after receiving information regarding this incident. Belonia mandal president Gautam Sarkar also arrived. They talked with affected owner. The Belonia SDM also talked about the incident.
Speaking to media persons here, Mandal president Gautam Sarkar appealed to the administration to stand by the owner of the affected house. He also assured the affected house owner that the party would extend support.
