Five Bangladeshi nationals held in city

Agartala, 25th August 2024:   Tripura Police have detained five Bangladeshi nationals on Sunday from Ramanagar area.

As per East Agartala Police Station Officer-in Charge, Paritosh Das, they have detained five Bangladeshi nationals from Ramnagar area on suspicious basis.

“Based on special information we have detained five persons on their suspicious movement. After preliminary interrogation. We got to know that they are Bangladeshi nationals who have entered in Tripura illegally. We have field a case against them. We are also trying to identify the names of touts. We have seized mobile phones from them”, he said.

He further informed that they are from Chapai Nababganj of Bangladesh’s Rajsahi District and are are identified as  Sohel Rana, Nurman Ali, Hamim Ali, Litan Ali and Salim Riyaj.
