Agartala: April 09. Five persons from a same family fell ill after consuming mushrooms from forest. The incident took place in Puran Lembutali area of Dhariathal village under Sepahijala district.
According to the details of the incident, the head of a family brought mushrooms from the forest today morning and gave them to the housewife for cooking. After cooking as usual, everyone in the family eats those mushrooms. Two or three hours after eating the mushrooms, one after another started getting sick.
All of them including children were brought to the primary hospital. After the first treatment, the doctor on duty Rhea Debbarma saw their condition as critical, referred them to the GB hospital from the primary hospital. They are facing severe abdominal pain and headache. Those who are sick are Sanjit Debbarma, Angelina Debbarma, Menuka Debbarma, Shampa Debbarma and Biplab Debbarma. The doctor said that among them, the physical condition of the baby girl Angelina Debbarma is critical.
