Five injured in collision on Agartala-Bishalgarh road

Agartala, 9th November 2024:   A tragic collision took place between an auto rickshaw and a scooter on Saturday left five people injured on Agartala-Bishalgarh road near the Bandhan Bank area, Rastar Matha. The auto-rickshaw bearing registration number TR01J-3102 and the scooter numbered AS13E-7577 collided, causing the injuries.

Despite various measures taken by the state administration to control vehicle accidents, they continue to occur frequently. The Vishalgarh fire brigade responded promptly to the accident, rescuing the injured and transporting them to the Vishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Among the injured, four individuals Sanchita Shil, Chitrachetri Laskar, Prabhat Chowdhury and Suresh Yadav were released after receiving first aid. However, Manoj Kumar Laskar, who was more severely injured was referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala for further treatment.

The Bishalgarh police station is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision. The local community continues to call for increased road safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.
