Agartala, 7th June 2024: Locals of Roa Gram Panchayat handed over five youths to Police after they were caught red-handed while eve teasing girls.
As per reports, yesterday evening, twelve girls were attacked by five young men as they were returning home from their private coaching class. The incident took place around 7:30 pm in the Thin area of the BSF camp.
The assailants, who arrived in an car and two scooties, were swiftly apprehended by local residents. The culprits were identified as Rajib Nath (25) from Ward No. 5, Amarjit Nath (24) from Ward No. 2, Santosh Nath (23) from Ward No. 5, Banu Nath (23) from Ward No. 5, and Sukanta Debnath (23) from Ward No. 2, all residents of Roa Gram Panchayat. The five youths were handed over to the police by the local residents and the parents of the girls. The local community and the parents of the victims have demanded strict action against these individuals to ensure the safety and security of women in the area.
