Laborer Killed after hoarding falls on him

Agartala, 7th June 2024:   In a devastating incident earlier today, tragedy struck the Chandrapur area adjacent to Tata Company as a laborer lost his life in a harrowing worksite accident. The victim, identified as Shanti Chakraborty, aged 45 and a resident of Khayerpur, met with a fatal accident while working at a fly board godown.

According to reports, Chakraborty, a day laborer, had ventured into the Chandrapur area to work at the fly board godown for the first time. However, the day took a tragic turn when a fly board collapsed, resulting in serious injuries to Chakraborty.

Eyewitnesses at the scene promptly alerted the fire brigade, who swiftly arrived and rescued the injured laborer. Chakraborty was immediately rushed to GB Hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he tragically succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
