Agartala, March 26: Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma attended a blood donation camp organized by BJP Sepahijala (South) district committee at Sonamura’s new town hall on Sunday.

After the BJP formed government for the second time, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha appealed to the state to come forward with noble deeds like blood donation. Responding to that call, blood donation camps are being organized daily in the entire state under the initiative of various government departments and organizations.

A blood donation camp was organized under the initiative of BJP Sepahijala (South) district committee where former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the camp.

He was accompanied by MLA Kishor Barman, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad president Supriya Das Datta, BJP Sepahijala (South) district president Debabrata Bhattacharjee and others.

In his inaugural speech, the former Deputy CM Dev Varma called upon the blood donors to come forward and thanked those who donated blood. In addition, he called for the implementation of such social programs in the coming days.

Besides criticizing the opposition, the BJP government after coming to power has come down to service work and if any other party had come to power, it would have taken them three months just to wear a garland of welcome.

The former deputy chief minister sneered at the MLA of Sonamura! He said that the MLA did not say anything about the problem of Sonamura in the assembly, there was no development here. BJP needs MLA in Sonamura for more development.

Speaking at the event, MLA Kishor Barman said that only BJP karyakartas can implement service-oriented programs along with the organization because the main goal of BJP is to serve the organization.

In total, 55 blood donors donated blood sincerely.
