Agartala, 21st September 2026 : Former Tripura Ranji Trophy captain Timir Chanda has been appointed as a Talent Scout for UP Warriorz, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchise, for the upcoming Uttarakhand Women’s T20 League.
Chanda will be responsible for identifying and scouting promising women cricketers during the tournament, with a focus on spotting emerging talent who could potentially make their mark at the higher levels of the game.
The appointment marks a significant recognition of Chanda’s experience and cricketing credentials. A former captain of the Tripura Ranji team, Chanda has remained associated with the sport and is now taking on an important role in talent identification and development in women’s cricket.
His association with UP Warriorz is also expected to provide an opportunity to showcase emerging women cricketers from Uttarakhand and the wider region on a bigger platform.
