Agartala, 30th April 2025:   Marking the auspicious occasion of Shubh Akshaya Tritiya, the foundation stone for the new Dhanpur BJP Mandal office was laid on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the southern part of the Kathalia commercial area.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of party leaders, workers, and supporters from across the Dhanpur assembly constituency. Prominent among those present were Dhanpur MLA Bindu Debnath, Dakshinanchi President of Sepahijala district Uttam Das, District Secretary Bishwajit Bhowmik, Raju Debbarma, Joydeb Sarkar, Dhanpur Mandal President Bipul Majumdar, along with local leaders Ratan Debnath, Vikram Ghosh, and several others.

Party sources revealed that for the past seven years, the Dhanpur BJP mandal operated from a rented office, which lacked the space and environment needed for effective meetings and organisational activities. This prompted the leadership to initiate the construction of a permanent office building.

A plot measuring 18 feet by 21 feet was purchased for ₹7 lakh in the commercial zone. Adjacent to it, another plot—valued at approximately ₹25 lakh—was generously donated by local leader Bikram Ghosh. With these two plots, construction work for the new office is set to commence shortly.

Speaking to the media, leaders and workers expressed immense joy and pride over the development, viewing it as a significant step toward strengthening the party’s organisational infrastructure in Dhanpur.
