Agartala, 3rd November 2025: Four people including a child sustained serious injuries when a passenger-laden auto-rickshaw overturned near Lambu Choumuhani while en route from Moynabari to Kamalpur. The accident occurred after the vehicle reportedly lost control and flipped off the roadside.
Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the crash and promptly rescued the injured, who were then transported to Kamalpur Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Minati Modak (72), Niyati Kand (22), Ritesh Kand (7), and Suchitra Das (36). Medical sources indicate that the child’s condition is critical, with two victims suffering severe head injuries and one sustaining a fractured arm. Others have sustained multiple bodily injuries.
All victims are currently undergoing treatment at Kamalpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Eyewitnesses reported that the auto-rickshaw was heavily loaded with passengers and overturned suddenly upon reaching Lambu Choumuhani.
