Agartala, 21st May 2024 : In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a four-year-old girl named Ananya Karmakar met with a tragic fate as she drowned in a pond adjacent to her house in the Khilpara Taltala area of Udaipur. The sorrowful incident unfolded while Ananya was innocently playing near the water’s edge.
According to reports, Ananya had accompanied her grandmother to a neighboring house to take prasad. Upon returning home, she told to her grandmother about attending to a natural call, a routine occurrence for the young child. Subsequently, she proceeded towards the rear of the house.
However, moments later, the family noticed Ananya was missing and began a frantic search. Their worst fears were realized when they spotted Ananya’s shoes near the pond, raising suspicions. Promptly, the search intensified, with locals joining hands with firefighters summoned to the scene.
After an exhaustive effort, the rescue team succeeded in retrieving Ananya from the pond’s depths. Rushed to Gomati District Hospital amidst desperate hopes, the medical team’s efforts were ultimately in vain, as the attending doctor pronounced Ananya’s passing.
