Free eye camp held at Bishramganj PHC

Agartala, 20th December 2025 :  A special eye camp was organized at Ramnagar Ayushman Aarogya Mandir under Bishramganj Primary Health Centre in Sepahijala district. The initiative aimed to provide quality eye care services to rural residents.

During the camp, 30 elderly men and women above the age of 60 attended with various eye-related concerns. Ophthalmic Assistant Nivedita Niyogi from Bishramganj Primary Health Centre conducted eye examinations for all participants. Cataract was detected in seven individuals, who were advised to undergo surgery for proper treatment.

In addition, 18 people received free spectacles distributed by the health centre, along with complimentary eye medicines.

The camp was attended by Ophthalmic Assistant Nivedita Niyogi, Community Health Officer Subhendu Debbarma of Ramnagar Ayushman Aarogya Mandir, as well as local Anganwadi and ASHA workers, ensuring community-level support for the initiative.
