Agartala, 14th May 2026: A free health camp organized at Srirampur Netaji Shiksha Niketan Private English Medium School under the Chandipur Assembly constituency received an overwhelming response on Thursday. The initiative, held under the directive of the Chief Medical Officer of Unakoti district and supported by Ayush Hospital, began at noon in the school premises.
The camp provided free medical services for all age groups, from children to the elderly. Students, parents, and residents from nearby areas attended in large numbers to consult doctors and undergo health check-ups. Essential medicines were also distributed free of cost.
Present at the event were Headmaster Sukanta Chakraborty and School Managing Committee Secretary Pralayendu Chowdhury. The camp was conducted by Ayush Hospital doctors — Dr. Avik Debnath, Dr. Piyali Pal, and Dr. Kakali Sengupta — who carried out tests including blood sugar, blood pressure, and other routine examinations.
Headmaster Chakraborty stated, “The primary objective of this initiative is to ensure regular health check-ups for children as per government guidelines. Today’s camp has drawn not only students but also parents and local residents. Doctors are sincerely examining patients and providing necessary advice and medicines. We expect nearly 200 to 250 people to benefit by the end of the camp. Similar social initiatives will continue in the future.”
