Agartala, August 04, 2022: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday said the women of the country at present started coming forward in various fields, one example of which is the newly elected President of India, Draupadi Murmu.
The meritorious students of Bishalgarh’s Vivekananda Shishu Niketan Vidyalaya were felicitated for achieving special merit in the secondary and higher secondary examinations on Thursday. The programme was attended by Chief Minister Dr Saha, Education minister Ratanlal Nath, District Magistrate Viswashree B, School Management Committee President Nabadal Banik and other guests and students and parents of the school were present.
Firstly, Chief Minister and Education Minister inaugurated the newly constructed computer lab of Vivekananda Shishu Niketan and later participated in the reception organized at Vishalgarh Town Hall where Dr Saha along with other guests handed over certificates to meritorious students in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr Saha praised the school management committee and students for the outstanding results of the school and wished them all the best for the future. Besides, he said that at present, not only the state, but the entire country, girls are advancing in many fields, which is undoubtedly a special aspect. Moreover, the Chief Minister detailed the various steps taken by the state government to empower women.
On the other hand, Education minister Nath said that implementation of NCERT syllabus in the state was a timely decision as a result of which the students of the state have been benefited.
