Gomati District Magistrate Takes Bicycle to Office to Promote Fuel Conservation

Agartala, 18th   May 2026:  Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for fuel conservation and environmental protection, Gomati District Magistrate Rinku Lather has launched an innovative awareness initiative.

On Monday morning, the District Magistrate arrived at the office riding a bicycle, sending a strong message in support of reducing fuel consumption and protecting the environment.

Speaking to the media, Rinku Lather clarified that there is currently no shortage of petrol, diesel, or cooking gas in Gomati district. He said the initiative was aimed at encouraging people to reduce the use of fuel and raise awareness about environmental pollution.

The District Magistrate further announced that, from now on, officials and employees of the district administration will either cycle or walk to the office as part of the campaign to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

The initiative has drawn attention for its emphasis on public awareness and environmental responsibility at the grassroots level.
