Agartala Jan 20: People of Tripura are repenting what they did in 2018 assembly elections and to mend up the fault, citizens of Tripura are determined oust the BJP from power, said former PCC President Gopal Roy.
Roy made the statement while speaking at the sidelines of a ‘Padyatra’ held on behalf of Pradesh Congress in view of the forthcoming elections.The former TPCC president lashed out the BJP-led government while interacting with the reporters.
He said, “Congress is going to form the next government in Tripura and this is clear from the massive response from people across the state”.“Tripura has gone back by 50 years under BJP-led governance and people are lamenting why did they vote the party to power. Unemployed, worker sections, farmers, daily labourers are adamant to uproot the BJP as they are the ones who have been hit hard”, he added.Gopal Roy further slammed the BJP over false promises made to the people of Tripura.
He added, “Using ‘Bike-Bahini’ one cannot win elections, people will come out and exercise their democratic rights”.
